Summary of the RecipeRiot.com Privacy Policy:
INTRODUCTION
Twentieth Television, Inc. (“TTV ” or “we”) operates RecipeRiot.com (the “Site”). The services which TTV offers includes the Site, applications, community pages and any other features, content, promotions, games or applications offered from time to time by TTV, including when RecipeRiot.com. is accessed via the Internet, mobile or other device (collectively, the “TTV Services”). TTV is part of the United States based operations of News Corporation.
As set forth in our Terms of Use reciperiot.com/termsofuse, the TTV Services are general audience, are not targeted to children, and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. You must be over 13 years of age to use RecipeRiot.com.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users, including both those who use some of the TTV Services without being registered with or subscribing to a TTV Service and those who have registered with or Subscribed to a TTV Service. This Privacy Policy describes TTV’s collection and use of users’ personal information (e.g., information that identifies a specific person, such as full name or email address) where that information is not otherwise publicly available on the TTV Services. It also describes generally TTV’s practices for handling non-personally identifiable information (e.g., interests, demographics and site usage) to the extent such information is associated with a particular user or user account.
SUBMISSION AND COLLECTION OF INFORMATION ON TTV SERVICES
User Submitted Information
Registration Information is the information that users must provide at registration for or upon subscription to a TTV Service, for example, to create an account or profile, enter a contest or sweepstakes, receive a newsletter, play a game or take a survey. Registration Information may include, for example, name, username, email address and birthday.
Public Information and Posts consist of your username, and, if you provide one, your profile picture, your recipe, your city and state of residence, images and text you submit in connection with your entry into a contest or sweepstakes and your posts and comments on or in connection with the TTV Services outside of your profile. Your posts and comments outside of your profile include those made on other user's profiles, on Site or other TTV Service photos, in general Site or other TTV Service areas, such as community forums and on third party websites and services if connected to a TTV Service.
Profile Content consists of information a user may add to the user's profile on the TTV Services. For example, the RecipeRiot.com user profile includes a user's information such as "About Me", and content such as photos, as well as the user's comments and other similar information. You may also be able to set up a profile in connection with another TTV Service, for example, an application, game or reward program.
Third Party Information and Content. If you access a TTV Service through a third party connection or log-in, your user submitted information may also include your user ID and/or user name associated with that third party service, any information/content you have permitted the third party to share with TTV, and any information you have made public in connection with that third party service (collectively, "Third Party Information and Content"). Third Party Information and Content obtained in this manner will be governed by this Privacy Policy, any applicable policy of the third party and the terms of use for the TTV Service
TTV Collected Information
Transaction and Site Activity Information. When users access the TTV Services, we may collect certain non-personally identifiable information about those visits. For example, in order to permit your connection to the TTV Services, our servers receive and record information about your computer and browser, including potentially your IP address, browser type, and other software or hardware information. If you access the TTV Services from a mobile or other device, your unique device identifier assigned to that device or other transactional information for that device may be collected in order to serve content to it. Cookies and other tracking technologies (such as browser cookies, pixels, beacons, and Adobe Flash technology), which are comprised of small bits of data that often include an anonymous unique identifier may also be used. RecipeRiot.com sends this data to your browser when you first request a web page and then store the data on your computer so the website can access information when you make subsequent requests for pages from that site. These technologies may also be used to collect and store information about your usage of the TTV Services, such as pages you have visited, search queries you have run, and advertisements you have seen. If RecipeRiot.com wishes to combine your personal information with information we obtain through these technologies in order to determine what messages RecipeRiot.com provides to you, we will obtain your express affirmative consent.
We may also collect personal information in manual or off-line format, such as a postcard or subscription form or entry form. Providing a detailed privacy notice in those situations is often impractical. In these situations we will provide consumers with a short notice that describes how to obtain the full text of this policy.
Third parties that support the TTV Services by serving advertisements or providing services, such as allowing users to share content or tracking aggregate site usage statistics, may also use these technologies to collect similar information. RecipeRiot.com does not control these third-party technologies and their use is governed by the privacy policies of third parties using such technologies. Third Parties. To improve the quality of the TTV Services, we may supplement the information we collect with information from third parties. If you access a TTV Service through a third-party connection or log-in, we may also collect your user ID and/or username associated with that third-party service, and any information you have made public in connection with that service or which the third party shares with partner services.
